ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE THIS is a no-brainer. Only a fool would declare
that there is no God:
"...The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." (Psalm 14:1)
The dictionary defines fool as "One who is destitute of reason, or the common
powers of understanding."
When we apply reason to the question, "Can God be known?" the undisputable
answer is--yes!
The Apostle Paul wrote in the Bible that:
"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse" (Romans 1:20).
In other words, the Bible is saying that the thing created is proof that there
is a creator. For example, a building is proof that there is a builder; a
painting is proof that there is a painter; and creation is proof that there is a
God. To deny this is to jump off our intellectual ship, moving away from reason
and our common powers of understanding.
When we stand before God, even if we have never known the name Jesus, we will be
held accountable for putting our trust in Him because that which is created is
evidence that God is.
